High PR or PA links VS mass low PR links

For a new domain which type of links would you go for?

  • Spaming links like xrumer and pligg is fine on a new domain.

  • I would prefer to just have a small number of high PR or high PA links.

  • I would prefer to have a mixture of the above.

Does anyone happen to have experience of these three senarios and which (if any is best) and if any will actually cause you problems?

(1) A new domain uses spam tactics to get masses of unrelated links on low pr sites using things like Xrummer and Plig links

(2) A new domain just builds a handful of high PR links (like Angelas type links)

(3) A new domain uses a mixture of both the above.

Thoughts please ladies and gentlemen...

The Website in question is an Ecommerce site incase this makes a difference....

If all you do is build PR5 and higher links.. And some PR1/2/3/4 don't come in naturally I do believe that Goog would notice that.

Do your keyword and backlink research for your site. Check out your primary competitors. If they're showing 10% PR8/9 20%PR6/7 30% PR4/5 40% PR2/3 etc... All you need to do is to first work to match their backlinks (PR and all)... Then (since you planned ahead) push for a natural addition of backlinks in proportion to your competition... But increasing in PR and in greater numbers over time.

That looks "natural" to the Goog and won't set off flags.... And it will let you overwhelm your competition in the shortest amount of time.
