Hi,

Sorry, this maybe a noobie question but if a website where i can post a profile on has a high PR hompeage 7+.

Will that still give a good backlink if the profile page with correct anchor is a low pr?

Obviously i would ping or bookmark the profile to get it indexed!

Thanks in advance!

Yes you would but it depends on the website. If it's a .edu, .gov, or a high authoritative page rank on their homepage, then yes you get a backlink benefit.

WHat about a .com with a high authoritative page rank on their homepage?

It depends on the website. Is it a web 2.0? (ex. digg, stumbleupon, searchles, quadriot, folkd, spotback, etc.)

In other words what I'm saying is that if the domain is linkfarms.com then it's not a good place to get a backlink from.

Yes I would go for those sites. Also, remember for your sites that they should be "********" or else you don't get the link benefit.

There is always link juice till the end from a high authoritative site. So even if the page you have your link has a 0 pr, it still is worth because its home page has a high authority.

yeah, it is a good idea to bookmark the page to get it quickly indexed within few hours with the help of a high pr social bookmarking site.
