High PR Domain With No backlinks?

I have just purchased a PR 3 domain from godaddy but there is no backlinks at all(Checked using ahrefs.com).How is it possible to get PR 3 without backlinks?

would you mind sharing the domain so we can further investigate? Remember, PR gets updated every 3 months so it might get back to zero with the new PR update

Most likely it had backlinks that were removed after it expired (I'm assuming it had expired and you purchased it through Godaddy Auctions).

Most likely it was just 301-ed to a domain which had PR3 pre last PR update ie. it will go back to N/A in next update.

1. Either Domain was 301 Redirected to the High PR Domain while There was some PR Update it got PR. (Fake PR your domain is having)
2. There were some backlinks to your Domain but removed as it is expired. (Real PR)
3. People claim that they have some methods to gain PR fast and abnormally. (Fake PR)

In all these cases, You will see PR will be decreased in the next PR Update.

Tip: Better start utilizing the domains now or else you will think you could have bought them for 1 Dollar after some days

That's Correct but can you share where we can get the best quality domains which are expired? (Not talking about Auctions)

This has happened to me a couple of times. I just use ahrefs.com to assure that my domain that I will buy has some value to it. Also, its good to make sure the domain isn't backlisted.

Check before you buy!
You can always build your own backlinks.

I mean the backlinks should still exist since the PR is real.. Or ahrefs just cant detect the backlinks?
The PR 3 Domain I brought was
Chieftechmom(dot)com

Its not a fake PR definitely.Use Info:domain name and it works exactly the same.
