I'm looking to take my online career down a different path. Is it still lucrative to make an authority site in one of the high paying Adsense niches and try to rank the old fashioned white hat way so the rankings stick over the long term?

Or is the competition too steep in the niches with high CPCs to realistically make any real money in the first year or two?

if you are solely going for adsense then niche doesn't matter. for example lets say i visit websites liike namecheap, blue host etc. then i will be shown ads related to this niche only and NOT what the blog is about. it is based on your past website history.

Yeah bro its worth it , assurance niche for exemple cpc is 40$ lol imagine just having 1 lead a day

Oh, so they changed it? So it's more about traffic then it is about the niche CPCs. Interesting.

Yes I know that, but if none of your pages are ranking from high competition, you are making $0. Plus somebody just told me Adsense is based on web history now and not the blog's niche.

Those are retargeting ads. Adsense still shows ads triggered by the context of niche sites
