Has anyone had their tough keyword rank high above the places on BING but nowhere on G? I'm puzzled I know they work in different ways but it seems odd to rank in the top 3 on bing and nowhere on G? Possibility G penalized me?

My keyword is #2 in yahoo and nowhere in any other search engine. It's annoying as it has so much potential!

I'm number 3 on yahoo on bing nowhere on g :(

Happens all the time but since 70% of the traffic comes from Google it's hard to invest too much energy into the other SE's.

Looks like you have good backlinks but bad user experience.

Google has much more complex algos than either of them and also has a much more competitive bidding for spots so it not funny that your ranks are the way they are!

Look for your competitors on both the SE's and try to find the reason!

It's strange how it works. All my sites that rank high on Google are no where to be found on Bing/Yahoo. All my sites that rank high on Yahoo/Bing are penalized sites on google.

It seems like links that work in yahoo/bing are the same links that penalize you in google. And links that work in google, are ineffective for Bing/Yahoo.

Btw, this is not solid fact or anything. It's based on pure speculation, nothing more.

I've noticed that too don't have a single site ranking high on both just one or the other :/ but never had one rank high on one and nowhere on the other

for me its usual.
if im in top5 of bing, im BANNED in g.
i never had both top10s or even top5 in bing + no ban in g.

dont worry about it but be sure u will not rank G the way u ranked bing.

Bing and Yahoo are like the ugly girls not asked to prom and Google its the queen of the dance
in a nutshell: Google its the one that matter if you want to get organic traffic

Hmm, weird how that works. I am currently ranking highly across bing/yahoo while waiting to be indexed. Curious to see how it plays out.

One of my SAPE sites that got hit last week and dropped out of top 100, just appeared on the top of Bing for the first time lol.

I noticed I got some clicks today, so I went to check my stats and saw that the traffic was coming from Bing. Never had bing/yahoo traffic while it was still ranking in google. I am really confused by this. That's some freaky coincidence.

Speculation or not, it is the same case for me. So there has to be some correlation.

Give it time and carry on
looks like your not diversifying links enough for google

A few niches are easy to rank high with almost 0 backlinks and decent content

A few niches are impossible to rank with 1k/mth in backlink power just due to the nature of the search market, you'd have to niche down big to even have a chance
