A strong metric doesn’t guarantee results.

Always check:
▸ traffic
▸ niche relevance
▸ engagement

What do you trust more — DR or traffic?

Traffic is much more reliable than DR because it proves Google actually trusts the site. Many high DR domains are just inflated with spammy redirects and carry no real ranking power. Relevance and active visitors always win.

Depends on the link type you are getting.

DR represent overall link power.

For example with a PBN link, DR will matter more than traffic.

Look at both. A single metric isn't enough to judge if a site is good or bad. If I had to choose, I’d trust a manual backlink audit over DR any day to evaluate its authority, since DR is so easy to manipulate with spammy tactics.

I trust traffic more. DR is useful for a quick check, but it can be misleading on its own. Real traffic usually means the site is actually active and has some value. Best is a mix of both, but if I had to pick one, I’d go with traffic.

Traffic tells you if people are seeing your content, but engagement shows if it resonates. Always weigh metrics together and go with what aligns with your goals.
