High DA websites have ads. Do I need ads too!?

So, I have recently taken ads off my website because they slow down page speed.

But I notice that only low authority domains don't have adds. SO.. IF I want high DA do I need ads? Like ad-sense?

I thought ads ruin quality content. Apparently BIG authority sites are proving that theory wrong?

If you want to be a BIG Authority Website You have to LOOK like one?
