High DA vs. High Spam Score

Use semrush to track organic growth and filter the chart for the last 6M
Spam score is not to be trusted, just like DA

Low spam score means more trustworthy. Spam score is another tool developed by Moz to determine which websites are “spammy” and which are trustworthy. Sites receive a grade of 0 to 17, with 0 being most trustworthy and 17 being the least trustworthy. if website's DA is high and spam score is also high spam score for your site, or a site you're looking at, doesn't mean this site is necessarily spammy. It's a sign that you should do some more investigation into the quality and relevance of this site.

Just go by site traffic and keyword trends (if they both show an upward trend over a long period of time go for it without thinking about the SS%)

it depends on client's demand, what he require. mostly ask for high DA, DR
 
Spam score of the sites is to be considered, but the for guest posts you can pay attention to traffic, backlink profile, DA and ranking

Yes, you will be benefited by backlinks here, but don't assume you can rank from one high metric backlink.

That's going to be an important backlink in your link portfolio. Spam Score is a metric created by Moz and isn't a relevant metric recognized by Google. I generally ignore it unless it's like 80%+.

Even then, I do some research into the backlinks/internal links of that specific site.
 
Yes, you will be benefited from backlinks, and has the highest DA score it can be achieved when there are loads of quality backlinks to a page, here the Score above 80 rates the Domain Authority as excellent. the spam level of a website can be divided into 3 categories:
From 0 to 4 – 1-30% Low
From 5 to 7 – 31-60% Medium
From 8 to 17 – 61-100% High
As you mentioned it has a high spam score (above 40%), spam score is another tool developed by Moz to determine which websites are “spammy” and which are trustworthy if a website's DA is high and as you mentioned the spam score on this site is high, doesn't mean this site is necessarily spammy. you should do some more investigation into the quality of this site.

According to me, Backlinks from a high DA site with a high spam score can still have some SEO value, but they may come with potential risks.
It's essential to consider the relevance, quality and reputation of the linking site before deciding whether to Utilize the opportunity. It's advisable to prioritize backlinks from reputable, relevant and spam free sources to build a strong and sustainable SEO strategy.
 
While the high DA is beneficial for SEO, the high spam score indicates potential low-quality or spammy. I advised to focus on sites with both high DA and low spam score for better guest posting.
 
Do not limit your focus to these indicators only. It is better to analyze the performance of the site in a complex, taking into account also the organic traffic of the site and DR. But I would recommend bypassing sites with high SpamScore. I think this is not what you are really looking for.
 
Any info on DR and traffic? Does the traffic come from the targeted country? Price? First, check all these. Without knowing all these details, it is difficult to make a decision.
 
An increase in spam scores negatively affects a website's organic ranking and reduces its performance. High DA backlinks would also influence your domain authority scores. It would help you gain a higher ranking and increase traffic.
