I've picked up a few high da/pa domains (that were previously dropped) recently and am exploring options for how best to utilize them.
Background: Primarily picked up to pass authority onto my niche sites. The domains are not specific to my niche, which is pretty specialized.
Current options on the table:
1) Write new content for the domains on their actual domain subject matter, and link back to one of my sites.
2) Write new content that is specific to my niche and link back to one of my sites.
3) Use a 301 redirect to one of my sites.
Of those options, (3) seems the least desirable, having read a number of recent comments/thoughts on the viability of using 301s.
(1) would be the next least desirable, as I really have no interest in trying to rank for the topics of the domains.
(2) "Appears" to be the most logical, with the thought being that good solid content specific to my niche on the domains could produce good rankings on their own.
Would appreciate any suggestions from those who do this on a regular basis as well as to whether I'm on the right track.
Thanks,
Spazz
