Hey everyone,
Has anyone else noticed a sudden spike in CPM over the past few days? Mine has increased significantly for no apparent reason,My CPM was around $9 three days ago, but it has since jumped to over $50 and I’ve seen a few others mention the same issue. For sure i change ad accounts, pages, creatives ...

I'm also experiencing an over all increase in the ad cost. I'm working on optimising conversions. I think that is the best way to go about it. THe better the conversion the lesser will be the ad spent.

The reason could also be from your competitors increasing their ad spend or having more aggressive bidding strategies, which could also increase your CPM. You can ask your industry peers if the costs are the same.

did you expose any information, i have experience that some campaigns can be used by hackers and create campaigns based on your campaign and payment card, hope everything is ok
 
Maybe because there are many people using invoice accounts with large budgets, making your ads so expensive, you can change the image, content or run a small budget and wait.
 
There are many reasons why cpm increases, such as images/video content that is too old, you use a lot of fake words, which also causes fb cpm to increase.
 
As already mentioned above it could be due to competition entering your niche: the more people run ads for the same niche/audience, the higher the CPM beceomes. Another reason could be that you saturated the "cheap" audience and FB is now expanding your reach to different audiences. Lastly bad customer feedback (facebook is doing surveys for the people who converted after seing your ads) can be a cause of facebook sending you low quality traffic/increasing CPM.

There are a lot of advertisers advertising with your product so the cpm has increased a lot
 
A sudden increase in CPM is usually due to too much advertising budget running at the same time, usually because the invoice account used is running with a large budget, you can pause the camp for a few days and then try again.
 
FB is currently experiencing strong fluctuations, the market is constantly changing. It is understandable that there is difficulty in launching campaigns or prices are more expensive than usual.
 
Currently, Facebook's CPM is quite unstable. You should closely monitor campaigns during the US election, which also has a small impact on Facebook at the moment.

This phenomenon could be when a competitor increases their budget, or it could also be because the way you target your ads doesn't match your budget.
 
You can clone your camp, that will help you choose good campaigns and camps with very cheap CPM

I think your product has been competed, your competitors have increased their budget to get more customers, your CPM will increase, but just a few days and everything will be fine again.
 
There are cases where Facebook's distribution error leads to high CPM but it can only last for a maximum of 1 day. If it's more than that, I think you should delete the campaign and re-start a new campaign.
 
Maybe your product has too many competitors with large budgets, reduce your budget and wait for the next time.
