I was wondering - what if you start a channel in a high competition niche like weight loss or finance and post a video every day, with tags, titles and stuff. But NOT targeting low competition keywords. In other words pretending there is no competition.

Can you succeed this way and start getting traction evetually? Will Youtube start giving your videos some audience too?

Or is it a dead end?

of course it worth it. if its a niche you enjoy and can provide value in then do it. itll just take longer.

I think if you upload more than 100 HQ videos in only one niche (almost the same tags and titles), youtube will detect your channel as a regular content creator and starts to push your channel

hard to say, just like you go Supermarket. Look at those Breads stack on the shelf. Look there How many brands there not just few brands is A lot .

same apply for other stuffs.

So come to Niches, likewise same. Already a lot on financial , health fitness niche but daily still a lot new sites come out doing these niches

I'd start with lower competition kws and if you manage to rank for them you can try more difficult ones. Since channels that rank for high competition Kws often have a large following, they can trust in getting an initial boost from their subscribers when they upload their video.

I'd dive in only if i had an external traffic source to pump in views. I've seen Instagram handles use swipe-up feature to drive visitors as soon as an upload is out. Otherwise, it's too much of a hassle (In terms of time spent on content creation)

YouTube is different than Google, in many ways.
I'd say that if you can come up with some unique, long, and authentic content, something that has a personality and you can brand it, you have a chance in any niche on YouTube. Sure, you won't see results with 1-2 videos... But once you put in enough effort and publish consistently, things can really snowball for you.

But it has very little to do with tags, titles, etc--that's a YT SEO from 5 years ago :).
Anyway, in my opinion, the chances to make it through in competitive niche are much better on YT than they are on Google.

As long as you're passionate and you're aware that it will take a lot of time (maybe some years) to make a decent income, go for it!!!
