High Budget News Site

Hi everyone! Have recently helped to launch a news site for a specific niche.

Site is high quality designed and built well, has been approved for Google News and has really high quality hand-written content for the niche — mainly news stories on recent goings-ons. Average ~1 news story per day.

We are having some steady growth & decent rankings across the board for lots of our articles, generally since they are so niche.

current issues:
— articles don’t show up in google news tab even though we are approved
— hard to rank for any competitive keywords even though our content is usually the best in the field
— we have very few backlinks since the niche is pretty specific

That being said, we are hoping to take this thing much larger, faster. Budget is reasonably high for this initial growth period ($5-10k/month) depending on how effective each strategy would be.

Goal is ultimately organic traffic for our niche, and becoming a reputable news site.

Check your publisherenter.google.com There is option to refresh content or RSS feed in Edit section. Also, you can create your back links with other Google News Approved Websites like thewiki Network, which is also like a social network and you will get more visitors.

Organic traffic takes time and if the search intent by users is less then organic traffic might be less as well ...

how are you planning to monetize?

Focus on creating high-quality backlinks in your relevant niche. And stay consistent. This would take time but it will ultimately bring organic traffic.
