is it good idea to hide how many subs (0) you have on your NEW yt channel?

I thought maybe total zero scares somehow people away. And unhide it if theres few hundred subs

I did hide it when i start my youtube channel and made it visible when i hit 500 subs.
But i do not think, that it matters much, but it can help at least a little at start.
