Hiding prompts for AI crawlers

With all these AI-powered crawlers/summarizers scanning sites now, I'm wondering if it would make sense to try to hide some kind of prompt on my site to mess with how the AI ranks or describes it. Basically the white-text-on-white trick or something like that.

Anyone actually tried this? Does it do something at all or is it a waste of time? Also curious if there's already some kind of classifier those crawlers run to catch pages doing this kind of stuff, or if it's still a blind spot nobody's really checking for yet.

There is no point in using hidden text or white text on white backgrounds because modern crawlers will simply overlook such information, and they may create more trust and quality problems than any benefits. It is better to make sure that the page is really useful and well organized.

that hour would be spent on trimming nd reffining subpar content. it could sometimes have more value than adding any new material if we simply removed out of date content combined similar pages or reorganized the structure. A compact nd refined webssite can sometimes be easier to believe in.

Trying to hide prompts on a website to influence AI crawlers is unlikely to work. Most AI systems and search engines can ignore hidden text or detect manipulative tricks. It may even hurt your site’s trust and visibility. A better approach is to create clear content, proper structure, and useful information that AI can understand.

I would not go for this option. Most AI web crawlers can simply ignore hidden texts or even see them as manipulative, and it will do more harm than good to your website. Instead, optimize for content that AI crawlers can understand and reference easily.

I mean I thing theses "tool" isn't so smart. Yet ... anyway What did you try until now to check if it works fine ? Do you know that somebody worked already a classifier which finds those page ?
