Hiding Pinterest links

Hi all , My Pinterest account has started to gain strong visitors. Today, however, I noticed a change. While my account's engagement continues to increase, the number of visitors to my site decreases. When I researched why, I saw that the visit site button on my pins was hidden in the 3 dots on the pin.

However, when I looked at the other accounts that saved my pin, I saw that the visit site button appeared quite large in them.

To test this, I created new pins, and the pins I created also showed the visit site button at first, but when I clicked on the pin and showed it bigger, I saw that it made an update on the pin and hid the site visit link.

Looks like you are not alone. I’m also facing the same issue on one of my profiles. When I contacted support, they told me:

“We’re always experimenting with new things on Pinterest. What you’re experiencing is expected behavior. While we can’t revert to the old format, you can still access your website by clicking on the three dots and selecting ‘Visit site.”
 
The number of people who will click on the three dots and visit the site will be very small, like a new update that will affect us negatively. We will produce content, but the user will stay on the pinterest platform, so it will not send users outside

Pinterest is testing hiding the visit site button. They've done this test in the past and perhaps are doing it again.

But I don't think it's rhe reason you're getting lower clicks. Were you getting more clicks before?
 
Yes. I was getting a lot of clicks before, but I'll wait a bit to test it.
In my research, I have seen people who have recently encountered this problem.
But for the solution, pinterest said that we are testing a new feature, and after a certain period of time, they say that the visit site button is back. But I don't know how pinterest turns off this feature or makes the pins more prominent in return.

While the pins have been steadily increasing, lately the engagement has been increasing like a vertical column.
 
Yes, I followed the pins and saw that they turned the visit site button back after getting an average of 10,15 outgoing clicks
 
That’s strange—Pinterest might be limiting external links or updating how they display pins. Try contacting support or testing with a different URL to see if it’s a platform-wide issue.
 
Yeah, I’ve noticed the same thing recently. It looks like Pinterest is testing a new layout where external links get pushed behind the three-dot menu for some users. I’ve seen it flip back and forth depending on the device or region. For now, what helped me a bit was adding a clear CTA in the pin description (like “tap the three dots → visit site”) and also using Idea Pins that link internally to your profile — that’s where you can drop your domain again.
