Hey Guys

I put a alot of keywords in my tags for my site, i was wondering if i hide these would it affect my google rankings in anyway ? Would it piss google off ? as i know hiding text does.

Also i use a plugin that makes each tag into a new page which is doing great for my SEO (ranking for alot of long tail keywords) do you think this will effect me in the long run with google ?

Cheers

Chris

Hiding links or any text for that matter is a no-no but I'm not sure if it can be automatically detected or if it requires a manual review (which is unlikely) - If it's not something that's bothersome to my users, I wouldn't do it.

Im looking for the same thing! It is probably some HTML thing you add on.

I have a sports site and i have about 50+ different tags for each post whatever the post is about and its before the picture and then content. The tags takes half the page up so i was looking to hide them or maybe just move them to under the post.

Maybe il try that, move the tags to under the post so i dont piss big g man off.

don't do that, it's the old worst black hat method

What is ? Iv got lots of tags so people can find what they want on my site, plus i have a plug in that makes each tag into another page so i rank for alot of long tail keywords.

Your saying google doesnt like that ? What doesnt it like ? Cant see there being a problem with having lots of tags, maybe the plugin ? or were you talking about hiding text ?

Any advice on this from any of the Seo guys out there would be great.

Cheers

how would you actually go about hiding the text, seeing as google runs javascript, parses ajax content and parses most document types, pdf, .doc etc etc?

only real way you can hide content is via advanced javascript where you would detect user mouse movements, if user doesnt move mouse, then it should be a bot
