Hiding Certain Elements - How Does It Affect Your SEO?

Hey guys,

I build all my websites with WP Page builder and absolutely love it. My question is, do you know if Google would perceive copied sections that are only visible on Mobile, due to mobile responsive design, as duplicate content or does it know that it's only visible on mobile and not anywhere else?

I ask because it's sometimes a lot easier to just duplicate the section and change the layout of for mobile only rather than trying to make the desktop and tablet layout suit.

I believe the Google will consider the sections duplicate even if it is for the mobile. Because the section is on google, doesn't matter if it is for mobile or desktop.
