Just and idea for people that like to hide the real IP of there website, to disassociate sites etc. Would hiding behind cloudflare work?

this is an old post, but I have the same question. Especially when somebody tries to report you to your hosting company. As far as i know they normally look this up from the nameservers.

does somebody know this? somebody hiding behind cloudflare?

Barking up the wrong tree, little doggies. Using cf, direct subdomain shows host IP, direct.example.com.

It gets reported to CF which they then HAVE to hand over the IP address and hosting company of your site to.

recently i started using CF just for testing purpose ..nothing shady or IP hiding
but unfortunately my site got deindexed
I am not too sure but it looks like the site got deindexed after using CF

there is a way to disable that
just change your dns settings under CF
