Hiding article content on landing page website

So I know the importance of unique article content in terms of ranking your website with SEO, but suppose you are not using a blog, just a landing page "Website"? Would it make sense then, to put the article content on a page in the website, but hide it from viewers, since you just want them to view the landing page?

I do this sometimes, just put spun crap in there but hide it.

I don't use the usual method of using CSS display: none, I just use a HTML marquee element and make it super small.

that is an old school trick. I think a much better strategy is to legitimately post the articles in a blog/blogs (unique articles) and link back to your landing page and get that back link juice.

LOL yep for sure, thing was... I made a new site, and wrote a program which generated 1000's of webpages for it, the computers I/O system was at full stretch writing new .php pages to the hard disk lol, it was quite funny watching the folder sizes increase in real time.

Each generated page (often over 40K) had 100% unique long tail keywords in the title tag, h1,h2,h3,h4 tags and the meta tags, but apart from that I had f*ck all content to put in those pages, hence I shoved all the spun crap in there.

It would cost way too much money to fill them all with proper content. The titles, h1, h2, h3s etc though were short enough. 500 words isn't possible $$/time
