Hide Your Affiliate ID!!!

    i use to have a script that would hide my affiliate ids even though if they looked at my source code ...it would replace the ids with xxxx's ..forgot exactly how it worked ...anyone know how to do something like this or a completely different way to hide affiliate ids/urls ...I need this cause i got a C & D from facebook and need to hide my affiliate ids so they dont report me

    As you I used it on the past, I need it now for a new site but just canĀ“t remember how to do it.

    Well, I'll give it a few guesses:

    1. Use doiop to hide your aff ID (Shorten the link). Doiop has no Anti-Spam measures...LOL!
    Note: They can still get it, but it will be much more difficult.

    2. Use the Re-Direct in cPanel (or w/e you use) to redirect /whatever/ to your aff link

    3. Use #1, and an iFrame.

    do you mean cloaking? do you need to know how to cloak? I can only tell you how I did it in my website,I'm sorry if I don't understand what exactly you want with facebook.

    no not cloaking hiding your affiliate ID so they cant report you to your cpa company

    I doubt that the IDs were hidden to an experienced user looking at the source code.

    You can try to mask the links with tricks like URL encoding but the browser has to be able to read the link so a user can read it too.

    The right way to handle it is to restrict who sees the page with the real links by setting time or IP limits, etc.
