I use Voluum as a tracker - I want to prevent my traffic source from getting to my affiliate network. Other than DMR, is there a way. I will paypal someone some cash if I can get another line of defense. Message me! Cheers.

You could use JavaScript redirect to spoof your traffic source, make it look lik it comes from dummy site (any site you want - your site ofc cause you need to make it look legit and host that JavaScript) but I'm not sure if you still need meta-refresh before JavaScript redirect or not (it's been awhile since I've been doing this and I didn't test it in latest versions of all major browsers, but it would work, you just need a plugin to check headers in your browser and some free time to test things out :) ).

Or simply use meta-refresh to hide referer and you're done (tho this might look suspicious, which why people are usually spoofing referers).

What you need to do is send your traffic to a whitehat site (or several), this can be filled with copied content, as long as it look half decent and use "CPAR 6" plugin to randomly redirect the traffic through that site to your offer.

    This hides your traffic source.

I should clarify that I am less concerned about the traffic source - more concerned about the type of traffic I am sending if that makes sense. I know I can use MR or DMR but as I understand this isn't 100% perfect as things can still slip through - is that the case?

How? How can referer slip through single MR? Worst case scenario some % of users won't get redirected (bcs of blocking MR in browser/plugin or something), but none of them should "slip through" and send referer with request.

OK that sounds good - I was told DMR was not a perfect way to hide a referrer but i'm not a tech guy so I don't know the specifics but if you are confident it will work that is what I wanted to know. Cheers!

There is a perfect way to hide the referrer - redirect through a domain with SSL (https)

From what I remember DMR doesnt work is the person is using a Safari browser. It passed the the referrer on. It's been a while since I heard that so double check on that first.

    This is a good solution.

There are places you can get free SSL certs so have a look around.
