Hide my inbound links from Majestic

Hi,
I'm fairly new in the SEO business but I believe it you be an advantage sometimes to. I have some interesting ideas for seo strategies, but I don't want my computers in my highly competitive field to just copy the way I work... I've read about hiding you links from third parts companies like Majestic and Ahrefs. I don't think it's anything wrong in doing that. My question is if anyone has any experience in how google react on site that can't be found in Majestic? Does google care or do I risk getting punished, before even starting building links to my new website?

I don't think Google algo takes that into account since there are many legitimate reasons for blocking a bot and a lot of sites (some authoritative sites included) do it for non SEO purposes.

Thanks, I have read a lot on that site, actually one of the places where I started thinking of these problems.

Good to know that google would not disapprove if we're trying to block a bot crawling our site...
