anyway to hide the url link when you link an image in a facebook post?

Have you tried putting the link in until Facebook recognises it, and then deleting the link text. It used to work not sure if it still does.

I think we can not hide the link in Facebook post. If we will try it Facebook will recognized and will delete it.
