Hi, It's possible to have a module / add-on / plugin in the forum, to hide content? That is great for threads that are being watched by others without having an account registrated.

For security purposes, this forum should have some tool in Editor of Text, that allows to hide content from Guest users.

It doesn't impact SEO, why? It will increase people to register in this forum to see a content.

Of course this tool can be abused, but it can be prevent. How? Using some requirements like this

  • Only users with more than +100 posts can use that tool
  • Only users registrated in the forum since 5 months or 6 months
  • Users that have been validated email
  • Users that have a reaction score above 40
  • Limiting the tool in some categories

Of course, you can change the limits and don't tell anyone, which has the limits or requirements to have that tool.
And doesn't need to have ALL of things of the list.

Should be great to see that in forum, nothing is impossible. It can be programmed by default from someone to have that limits or other something.

In reply of this thread: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/possibility-to-insert-sheets-from-3rd-party.1269247/ @BassTrackerBoats the limits can be applied also. I remember that guy have used Pastebin to insert in the forum. If you use limits, requirements. It won't be abused easily, trust me. And that will make have more high quality content.

Just my 2cents.

If someone is willing to register just to unlock some content than I can imagine what will would be required for him to become an active BHW contributor or useful member.

I am sure that BHW staff is well aware of this option, but I would say no, there's no any need to force someone into anything. Free will displays the best.

They have this. Some content is hidden until you get paid membership. No need to hide free forums too. The free forums bring in leads for Jr.VIP access to the hidden subforums.

Jr VIP is hidden content.

Doing this may lead to signups from too many inactive forums. For example, i once went to another forum to see some contents, but you had to signup for it, which i did, but after that, i rarely visit that forum as i was there for only a few contents. The same may happen to bhw. So it's better the way it is now.

You clearly don't got the point. If Staff doesn't say which is the limits or requirements how they will know about that? They don't will know.
There are a lot of forums, who have this. And you never known when it will be unlocked. Why? They don't say when or how, or which!

I would say Yes, like I said before. It can be useful for high quality content and even if they register just to try "unlock" is more members, if they make anything that is against rules of BHW.

That's because exists Banning options! That sounds like an excuse, with limits or requirements = No abuse

Tool is being abused? Well they wasted time to get the requirements or limits to have that tool, they will waste their time, being banned = goodbye the time you have been wasted for such tool.

Please, what you said... sounds like an excuse

Jr VIP is hidden content.

It can exists for normal users, with requirements or limits! Like I said before. Should be great to see that.

That's because the limits are easy to do, hard limits you can't do that in a day. Also is a Tool, is not for ever user
