Hello people!

I would like to ask you something, as you always give useful information :)
I have seen a domain with some very high authority backlinks. Some are from edu/gov websites which are officialy from some government firms. The only problem is that the links are hidden in the div section.. What do you think? Is this good for my PBN? I heard that hidden backlinks are very harmful.. But because these backlinks are from high quality websites i doubt to register it :p

Thanks
Mark

It depends on the way the links are hidden. There are many ways of "hiding" content and not all of them are meant to cheat the search engines. It's pretty common to use javascript loaded content like you would do in a drop down menu for example. That content is hidden at first sight but is not understood as deceptive because the users can still reach it.

Google officialy discourages to hide content in a way that no user could see it (placing it behind images, or hiding it with background color, CSS indent, visibility or display, etc).

This method is used on hacked sites. A few backlinking services hack and hide links. Mainly Russian backlink services.

Mark, "You can't register it" like creating an email account. They're hacked links and any sites that use those type of links will be penalized if not deindexed from SERPs. Better stay away from them unless your site is a churn'n'burn site/PBN.

Thanks everyone for their response! I now definitely know i am staying away from it :)
