It kind of depends on where you’re starting from, but a lot of people begin with something like CompTIA Security+ since it gives a solid foundation without being too overwhelming. If you’re completely new, I’d probably look at something more beginner-friendly first, like the Google Cybersecurity certificate on Coursera, just to get comfortable with the basics.
If you already have some IT knowledge, then platforms like TryHackMe or Hack The Box are really good because they’re more hands-on and you actually practice real scenarios instead of just watching videos.
Honestly, the best approach is usually a mix of theory and practice. Don’t get stuck just collecting certificates—try to actually build skills along the way.
