It seems that a proper introduction is appreciated, so here it goes:

I started blogging two years ago, not to make money, but just the share my knowledge. After a successful article, which attracted a lot of visitors, I started with some AdSense ads to make a few bugs out of it.

Down the road, I learned more about affiliate links, proper SEO research, and how much money in this game is.

Two years later am I earning a fulltime income, spending only 1 day on my blog (yes I should quit my day job) and came across all the (normal) struggles, like DDOS attacks, hacking attempts, and now copy cats. So for the latter am I going to look for advice here.

It's great to be able to make money today the way you want it to. The Internet has opened up completely new opportunities for people. Good luck to you.

Ha ha! Do you manage your own hosting? Throughout my career it's always helped me to overview and learn about file permissions, read/write, database accessibility, file ownership, and basic terminal commands. SSH into your server and run updates if you manage your hosting, look through logs and identify problems, try to speed up your user experience. Always look for ways to improve.
