Hi im new and need some help

Hi all... fist things first.. im a complete noob when it comes to making websites... but since im currently unemployed and have alot a time on my hands, why not try?

Instead of telling myself wanna do it.... I did it..

i started a blog on blogspot which is a first step

i picked a topic of interest which is fitness .. and though im no expert..i myself have been working/outexercising for years ... and i want to share my experience on what has worked and hasn't

I need some help on ways i can create a traffic a buzz on my blogspot

any help would be appreciated


some other questions:

1. Do forums now a days make money? i was thinking if blogging is successful i could start a forum


2. If i have a vision on a website with alot of features.. but dont know how to program... what should i do?

oh my you have a lot to learn my friend... start by reading every post on this forum.

Some times. It depends on how you want to monetize the forum. If you use adsense you'll have to get a lot of traffic. But even if you get a ton of traffic and high click through rates it also depends on what niches your in.

Learn how to do it or just outsource the work.




Read around this forum, there's loads of free information about anything you could ever want to learn online.

ehow's information is basic. You'll won't learn much from there.
Since you have alot of time on your hands, you should read up on things and teach yourself. "You're only successful if you put in the hard work".
As a forum it could take years sustain a suitable amount of members to profit. That doesn't mean it can be done. I've seen some successes that I thought were outrageous.
Don't get down on yourself and keep running to the wheels fall off.

Another thing is you could outsource jobs for you but don't expect them to babysit you.
You have a long road ahead of you. It depends on you if that road will be easy or hard. Do you homework and dedicate yourself.

since im new to this.. and only discovered this site two days ago

if i was to create maybe like a community forum for my city.. and get about 600 members.. is that considered as an suitable amount to make some decent profit?
