Hi, everybody.
I've been a lurker here for I think a really long time. I've even had an account for a pretty long time. (I used Google to log in this time, so this account may be fresher in date than I think.) There's just so much to read that I never got the sense that I was making enough of a dent in the available materials to warrant jumping in.
I don't remember when or why I found BHW. I'm a middle aged guy and I've always dabbled in website building and small coding projects. So, though I never tried to make money off of anything, a ton of different things could have brought me here over time and similarly my interests in the topics of this community are very broad.
So many things here are mysterious to me even though they seem overtly simple. Some of that could be executive dysfunction and I'm just telling myself it's harder to understand than it really is. But much of it is just genuinely complex stuff, made to seem simple because to the person talking about it, it is. But not to me.
That's why I say I want to be a wizard. I want to learn all of your dark and mysterious ways. Maybe learn a few secret handshakes.
At this stage in my life, I'm a gig worker. A real drone doing the bidding of the algorithm. All food delivery and rideshare. I actually do pretty good with it. But you only get older, and eventually I'd like to learn to supplement this income or replace it in an industry that is less stressful on my mind, body and vehicle.
That is all.
Oh and if my name is against the rules in some way, I apologize. I'm pretty sure it'll be a hot minute before I can change it. Though I would prefer not to.
