I'm Ronan. I'm a freelance copywriter/content writer from Ireland. I first found BHW around a month ago, and I've been lurking ever since, reading all the popular threads. I thought it was about time I created an account to interact with such an extremely helpful community.
Anyway, freelance writing is ridiculously unpredictable and notoriously competitive. I consider myself a really good writer, but sometimes the struggle to find clients doesn't feel worth it. That's why I'm trying my hand at internet marketing. I need a more stable source of monthly income. I already have the advantage of being able to write decent content, so I don't need to hire writers for methods such as making money with amazon affiliate products.
I recognize that I am unlikely to make money from the outset, although I have been disappointed with my results so far, especially from meathead1234's Amazon method. I have a really good site, well-written articles, but zero conversions from the Zon.
I have also tried my hand at writing erotic short stories, but this is another method that doesn't feel worth it just yet. My expenses for cover design are higher than my income! I've uploaded a total of 9 short stories to Amazon over the course of the last 2 months, earning around $50.
But one thing I have on my side is a god work ethic. It's just frustrating that my hard work has not yet turned into tangible monetary reward. I don't even have ridiculously lofty ambitions. $3000 per month would have me living like a king, because I spend half of my time in Chiang Mai, Thailand, which is a ludicrously cheap city. Anyway I'm excited to be a part of this place and hopefully I'll hit that elusive 3k at some stage!
