I'm a 26-year old guy from Belgium. I spent 2013-2014 in China studying kung fu, and it was probably the best time of my life.

But when I came back, I had to find a job. Which in itself isn't such a problem, except that I appear to have some neck problems, making any computer work or heavy lifting pretty painful after a while. Turns out I spent too much time as a teenager playing video games. When I was in China, exercising all day, it didn't bother me. Apparently it's just sitting behind a desk that hurts, go figure.

Anyways, being in pain all day long sucks, so I started thinking about creating my own business. One where I could make money without having to sit in front of a computer screen all day long. Ironically, I decided to turn to the internet for a solution (spending even more time in front of the computer).

So here I am, hoping I can learn to create some kind of passive income online over the next year or so, so that I don't have to spend the rest of my life worrying about damaging my neck even further.

I look forward to making BHW my home for the next few months :)

Good luck, most people here who make it spend a ridiculous number of hours staring at a computer screen for years though.

Welcome OP

Spends a year studying Kung Fu, comes back unable to work due to Neck problems hmmm, yeah must be because of playing computer games.

Anyway OP, you don't need to sit behind a desk to work with your laptop:

Thanks. Yeah, I'll try to minimize the time spent staring at a screen, but I know I'll have to spend a lot of time on it. I figure one or two years of that is favorable compared to a lifetime of any regular job that also hurts my neck all day long.

Haha, thanks! I'll try that.
I did think it was because of the Kung Fu, but turns out the wear is because of years of bad posture, meh.

Well if the training helped then you need to keep it up and take plenty of breaks when working.

True. I have some daily exercises and such. It's strange, you know. You spend your entire life behind the computer playing video games and stuff, free of any worries and suddenly you can't anymore. But I guess this happens to quite a few people these days.

Hello OP, please look at methods to get a basic feel for SEO.
Look down the Menu and find "Other" then click on "IM Journeys"

Good luck! :)
