Hello. My name's Matt. I have two faceless YouTube channels, one is about building my Lego city and doing Lego set reviews, stop-motion build animations and what-not, the other is sort of like a World's Wildest Police Videos channel, but where I provide really sarcastic voiceovers and commentaries over police dash- and body-cam footage and news channels helicopter coverage of police chases. No one is spared; both the cops and the crims get treated with equal amounts of contempt (and respect) when deserved. But mostly I just rip the crap out of them lol

I've joined this site because I want to market my YT channels better and expand into other social media sites. I don't do social media, except for a personal Facebook page that I never post on. I'm not antisocial but I do enjoy my own solitude. I'm also very private and I don't ever feel the need to publish a post telling my wife happy birthday when we're already sitting in the same room and I can say it to her face, or when I last went to the bathroom, or where I'm going shopping, or whatever it is that people post about. I don't have Snapchat, Instagram or Tiktok but I do want to learn how to utilize those apps to grow my YT channels and expand onto those platforms.

A little bit about me: I'm British and I moved to the US 20 years ago. I've lived in many other countries too. Spain, France, Hong Kong, NZ and Australia, but we've found our home here. For now. Until I get itchy feet again. It's probably why I've had so many jobs over the years as well. I've been a chef, a pub owner, a nightclub DJ, a producer for a radio show, a backpacker's hostel manager, a retail worker, and I currently own a pressure washing and line-striping business that isn't doing too badly. It's turning a profit, so, I mean, can't complain. I'd also like to market that on socials because I feel like I'm probably missing out on a huge customer base but again, not really sure where to start.

Hopefully I'll find something helpful and get something out of this forum :)

your yt channels sound like alot of fun. reposting shorts on tiktok and instagram can bring more eyes to the channel. there are a ton of yt channels showing you how to edit, post, leverage, etc on these platforms. what you are doing sounds especially great for tiktok.

Welcome to forum , sounds like you've been a long way .

Wish you all the best

Both channels actually sound entertaining, Ive been binging a lot of lego asmr contents lately. Good luck on your journey here!

Totally enjoyed reading your post! :) To be frank, your YT channels and the "content" from your pressure washing & line-striping business seem ideal for short form video platforms like TikTok (TT), Instagram (IG), and YT itself. There are multiple accounts on TT and IG that run mowing, pressure washing-type of content and they do very, very well.

I would test that hypotheses. The strategy would be to use the short form platforms to generate and funnel traffic to your main YT channels.

Use your existing content, repurpose and create a few short form videos using an editing tool like Capcut or Instagram Edits (both are free). Then publish them to TT and IG and see how it goes. Once you've learned how to use the editing tool, it'll hardly be any work at all to repurpose your existing YT content to shorter format videos.

Also, you don't really need to spend too much time learning how to use TT and IG individually. Instead, use a social media management tool. There are some free options/plans. Research them, choose one to test (can always switch later), create and connect your TT and IG accounts to that social media management tool. You can then upload your short form videos to that tool and schedule & publish to both TT and IG from just one tool.

That's my 2 cents. Good luck!

You can cut highlighted parts, change the ratio to 9:16 and post them on tiktok and yt/fb/ins reels. With original content, the algorithm would definately push it. Also, try x2 speed for your lego vids. Anyways, good luck ;)

Welcome to BHW world.I wish you long life. Have a nice day. Best wishes to you.
