Hi everyone, I need a quick advice.

Am working on a new project, since i sold my previous project. Now am jumping into a new niche. (Gaming)
I was wondering how much it would cost to have a website like 1up designed?
Am not asking for the full website only the homepage. I was told that it would cost $2k for just the homepage. Because it custom programming.
I don't want to sound cheap but dam that sounds like a lot for 1 single HTML page with a style sheet.
