I've been reading in here all day.. nifty place y'all have here. I arrived due to a search for no name banking.. dinosaur thread came up.. good reading even though for the paltry amounts I wanted to go anon with.. it's not an option.
Does anyone remember the program Bewitched .. the original one from the 60's? That was my introduction to marketing.. Darin and Larry.. thinking up ploys to sell product - at the time, I remember thinking.. but isn't all this stuff just common sense? (and I was a little kid at the time) Seems we've come a long way from story boards to adsense. (waterfox does not like the word adsense)
There's so much in these forums to learn and absorb.. I used to know some html and CSS - have been told that I have a good eye for color and presentation but have never knuckled under and made a published site - though I did customize a few forum pages at delphi years ago. I used to write a little.. NSFW kind of writing mostly.. and poison pen letters when things would annoy me.
What did I learn today? Well.. I'm way behind for Internet Marketing because I do not have a FB or twitter account.. killed off the myspace accounts a few years ago.. no social presence at all - if someone googles my real name.. no results pertain to me *proud of that actually*
Sure.. I didn't get here with the goal of learning how to make money on the net.. but ya know, every little bit helps.
I'm not sure if my personality would fit with black hat marketing, unless my target demo was .. oh I dunno.. rich politicians and/or debutantes with low IQ scores.
So.. I guess I need to hit up the fake name generator and fire up at least one FB and twit account.. become a social butterfly to get started
