Hey! First off let me say how I found you guys. I did a Google search for "how to make money with Skillz" and this popped up. I feel like I've been looking for this forum my whole life. I'm so glad I found it! Let me start off with a little background about myself. My name is Michael Kimble known as MikeySlice on the internet. I came up with the name because I can eat pizza every day since I worked at Jet's Pizza for 5 years of my life. I also slice the hell out of my tee shots in golf, but that's besides the point.

I was in an AT&T commercial while I worked at Jet's and made $30,000 from it for 1 day of filming. All I did was walk around in the background and had one 2 second face shot. It was at the moment I realized the power of advertising, and the money that comes from it. I've spent a lot of money and time into "get rich quick" schemes with no riches coming quick, sadly.

I ran into a Facebook ad for Skillz in 2015 saying I could make money playing games on my phone. So I downloaded the game. Their referral program, to get people to make their first deposit with your promo code, gave you $50 in game. So I made a YouTube video to promote my code. You had to convert this $50 by playing, which they take a 20% cut out of each match so it was hard. I made roughly $250 that year so they took their offer down to $10 per player instead of $50.

In 2016 I made $7,300 and 2017 over $10,000. All because people use my code from my YouTube videos and from my website, which I won't link to. I took $5,000 of my earnings to invest in a gaming rig so I can live stream on Twitch. I have a Monopoly on Twitch for Skillz games, problem is the majority of players on Skillz platform are middle aged women. So needless to say, they don't even know what Twitch is! It's owned by Amazon so you would think it would be more popular.

Anyways the reason I'm here is to ask how I should go about getting new people to become players on the Skillz platform? I know how to make existing players make their first deposit, but I've been struggling to get the new people who download and make a deposit. Since January 17th of this year I've only been able to get 17 downloads and none of them have made a deposit yet. I also feel like I should have more than 17 people downloading. I have 90 days from when they download to make a deposit before I no longer get a percentage of their deposit.

I feel like I'm so close to making the internet my full time job, yet so far. I need some guidance. Anyone know where I should go to make this happen? As of lately I've been doing an overhaul on my YouTube channel trying to get that bigger in hopes to have that bring me in new people and deposits.

Obviously I'm an affiliate now and I get $2 per install and 40% of their deposits within their first 90 days of their account.

So this Skillz game is the center of your career?

I work at MGM Grand Detroit as a part time Table Games Dealer. As far as my internet portfolio goes, yes. I'm growing as much as they are. They grow I grow. I was making $1,600/month for the first 6 months last year, but after that I'm lucky to hit $1,000. That's kind of my fault though. I haven't been playing as much as I used to. I've been focusing more on YouTube, Twitch, and my website.

You are welcome! I recommend you focus more on your page

Why though? I think YouTube increases my ranking on Google. I rank #1 on Google with my YouTube videos than I do my website. Can that be reversed if I spend more time on my website? Is that what you mean?

YouTube lately changes its algorithms too often and I find it more unstable in the long term. I have seen many famous channels being at the top and many of them are now quite unhappy

Welcome to BHW, Mikey

Have to say your 'introduction' sounds like a sales pitch, especially this bit at the end " Obviously I'm an affiliate now and I get $2 per install and 40% of their deposits within their first 90 days of their account. ".

Combine that with your subtle advertising via the baseball cap in the avatar.....

Just so there's no misunderstanding here though, you're not allowed to sell nor advertise until you've upgraded your membership.
Please do take time out to read the forum rules.

Thanks.

I was summing up what I'm doing and being open about my intentions. I'm not trying to advertise anything. If I were I would be paying. I'm posting on a forum about internet marketing trying to find out more about how to move forward. My profile picture is my profile picture on YouTube too. I'm not sponsored by Skillz. The hat I'm wearing I won from one of their games. The bit at the end with saying I get $2 per install and 40% on deposits was to inform you guys on what I'm trying to market as well as add another affiliate outlet to the website for people who are interested in becoming an affiliate through Rakuten. I thoroughly read through the rules before posting. I don't think I violated any rules there. If I did it wasn't intentional.

Hi MikeySlice,
