Hi all,

I find myself in a pickle regarding building my site. I had a developer build a wordpress site for me...a template essentially, and I was planning on adding the content myself.

Problem with that was, editing a wordpress site is not as intuitive as when I've used Dreamweaver to edit in HTML for some of my other sites (not affiliate). I wasted so many hours trying to figure out how to do edit one simple thing...it just isn't worth the time and frustration.

I'm trying to launch my new affiliate site but many developers are urging me to use Wordpress but I simply don't have the time or patience to figure out how to edit and manipulate the site.

Question is: if I build my affiliate site in HTML, is an HTML site sufficient enough for adequate SEO and other tools? Besides html, are there any other site building methods (php, css, ...?) that I could manipulate myself easily in a WYSIWYG program like Dreamweaver?

Thanks in advance!!!!

Hi nice to have you here. Well to have a nice website I would add some Css, but you surely can already do alot with HTML itself.

Hi Jim.

You can do it in HTML, but you should also learn php meanwhile.
If done correctly, HTML is much better/faster than the average WP site.
If your site isn't changing much, then use HTML. Unless you have regular content (new posts, or a blog) then use Wordpress.

Hope that helps?
