Hey mods, Why you ban so many users?

Generally speaking, the more banned members a forum or platform has, the better care it receives from its owners and the better content can be found on it (less spam & shit)

^^^This

I like to see banned members, it means Mods and Admin are taking action.

This is a pretty chilled forum, so when I see members in RED then I know that they have broken the rules sufficiently to warrant a ban.

If anything, the mods err on to the lenient and benevolent side. If it were up to me, I'd ban every single user that spams "thank you for this" in every single thread, without contributing to the discussion, with either advice, or pertinent questions, that help others think creatively.

Me too, I've been a member of numerous IM forums and 99% of these people just want to pad their post count so they can have a signature or start a BST thread. On some other forums they'd straight up ban these people and on others mods would just delete the posts or reset their post counts until they got the hint to either step up their contribution or go somewhere else.

If you saw what I saw, you'd be asking why we don't ban more users...

I find this to be highly believable. :)

@Op I'm guessing mods have a tough job and have to tip toe the line between being too despotic and driving users away from the forums (and therefore losing revenue) and letting too many bad posters shit the place up (which also drives people away). Different people will have different opinions on how effective they are at that job.

The fact that you are still here and joking around with the mods suggest they aren't all tyrants, on many internet forums creating a thread like this will result in thread being locked and OP being banned. Disputing/Questioning mod decisions doesn't always go over well.

the moderators of this forum have little patience ?

They have enough patience. That's why they give warning spamming/selling/abusing .
If they don't do your thread will be full with spam and you are creating new thread for "Why MOD don't ban spammer ".:):):):):)
