Hi guys, so finally got round to purchasing an iphone, last week was a very good week for me IM wise..

and I need to know if its possible to jailbreak the Iphone 3gs 3.1.3?

Ive read heaps of shit on the net, same say it is and same say its not possible, if you have done it, can you help me out with a nice little tut on how to?

I have iphone 3gs,
version 3.1.3 (7ed18)
Model MC133x

I don't have the iphone but I do have the ipod touch. From what I understand, it currently isn't possible to jailbreak either the touch or the iphone with 3.13 if they have the "MC" model #. Until a workaround is found, if we want to jailbreak we are stuck with 3.12 firmware. Anyone who has an older non-MC model iphone or touch CAN jailbreak on version 3.13.

The iPhone 3Gs can be jailbroken, but you need to do it on every restart with blackra1n.
Unlock is atm not possible, either 3Gs or 3G with new bootloader.

3G can always be jailbroken, no matter which firmware version. Just downgrab, and try blackra1n or redsn0w. You can unlock it only with older bootloader, that means, if your iphone 3G was newer updated to 3.1.3

Only for old bootroms...
new bootroms have to wait...there will be a new jailbreak with the 4.0 os which willl release in another few days.....ill post the update here....
