I just wanted to know which threads are good to start off with to educate myself about IM?

I am not aiming for any income, i do have goals and expectations but they are secondary to learning the process for me right now, so where do i start off guys?

PS: Also, i would like to ask.

I want to first get a good handle on HTML/CSS and i'm currently working with the free tutorials from tutsplus.

Can any of you recommend any other good sources? I want to teach myself HTML/CSS, Wordpress and Javascript and just generally learn how to make good webpages that look neat and clean.

Just a few of the skills i want to add to my arsenal.

One last question then i'll let this thread happily die, actually a few :

1. So i should mostly focus on [Method] threads or just generally skim through everything i can while at the same time read the [Method] ones and test them out?

2. Is it important that i should see the date for when the [Method]s were posted, because i keep hearing IM is fast and etcetcetc. Or are the methods still relevant as long as im keeping my focus on threads that are from like 1-2 years back?

Any response would be awesome! If not i'll find my way anyway but i'd love someone whos been doing it and has found even a little success to let me know how i should go through the shitloads of information thats here.

Find a route you're most comfortable with and stick with it. If you're interested in seo. Read up every single thread about seo in the forums. If you're into paid traffic, read up every single thing you can about it and take notes. Most importantly, implement the information you've learned from the forums.
