Hey everyone,

Just following along the suggested newbie guidelines and posting an introduction.

Currently looking to learn how to market my service based business locally.

Also looking at learning how to make an income generating site or two. I'm as green as they come and dont even know , what I dont know.

If anyone could point me in a direction of what's working now a days and a place to start I'd be grateful. I know there are a load of ways out there people are profiting. I feel as though most of them are built upon ways that stem back to internet infancy and have just changed over time. This makes me feel like I'm too late to the game.

Hope to change that feeling!

Hello there! Thanks for the welcome. Currently I have an online business which is in international parcel forwarding. Also have offline business which is local property maintenance / excavation...came here mostly to learn how to outrank my local competitors.

I've done a lot of research on them and see they are barely trying. I think I can easily out rank them for pretty much any keyword once I figure out how lol

That's the plan, however I'm starting pretty green as far as marketing skills go. Gonna be a wild ride!

Great business! If there is not a lot of competition in your niche you can get their people by providing a free thing or lower your price but if there is a lot of competition in that niche and u have a budget you may as well just spend it on google ads and target the people that buy from your competitor but you have to provide them with something more than what your competitor provide.

Thanks a lot for the tips! I'm trying to incorporate some of that now with my lawn care. Using a free mow as a loss leader to get someone to signup for a month or more or whole season of prepaid mowing..working decently well!
