Hey guys! Going to try something

Hello again everyone! After browsing the forums for a while and not taking action, I gave up. One of the worst things you can do here. But now I'm back, because I don't want to give up. All the methods I had tried have frustrated me, and I have decided to just come up with my own.

Now, as for my idea. My current idea is to sell an e-book, written by yours truly. The subject? Something I love, video games. But it will be a guide, specifically aimed at mmorpgs. Now I had about two ways of approaching this,

One was to sell it on Ebay for a small price, nothing too fancy, but then I got worried about legal issues. Could my e-book be taken down if its written about an MMORPG? How would I be able to send it to the user securly and accept a payment?

Two was to provide it free, and promote it using gameplay videos and small guides. I would use it through a service like Sharecash, or maybe some link shortener that pays, maybe even a content locker with a simple email submit to get the e-book.

I really want to go with the submit your email and recieve the e-book thing, there seems to be money in that.

So what do you guys think? Is it plausible? I'm a very good writer when it's about something I love, and I want to make some decent money to use for further ventures. So could anyone inform me on legality issues, which method I should go about doing? (I will probably end up trying them all anyway)

Yes, this is legal. What I would do is make tutorials on YouTube, and then in the end of the video say: "for more guides purchase my cheap ebook" (put link in the description), and then blast your videos for free using "Vagex", and "Enhance Views". When your videos get popular, YouTube will allow you to monetize your videos (video games are allowed for some reason). So like this you get 2 income streams. Good luck bro!

So youtube shouldn't get mad at me for selling an e-book? I was planning on doing gameplay w/ commentary, and then linking to my website which has a content lock, in which they submit their email to recieve my free e-book. Then maybe, MAYBE, I would mass send links to products on clickbank or something, but maybe only like one email per 2-3 weeks. Not many, so it isn't spam.

If you decide to go with ebay, depending on the price for your ebook. You could always copy the files to a CD. You can email them the ebook AND send them the physical item too. That way you have tracking info for ebay/paypal. Though this will affect your profit a bit.

I think as long as you make the listing clear about what you're selling, you should be fine..

There's this dude on YouTube called "NightmareRH", he makes Runescape videos look him up, this dude doesn't even sell anything, and he probably makes crazy profit. On the first channel he makes Runescape commentary videos, on a second channel he makes Vlogs about Runescape, and on a third channel he makes regular Vlogs. He's partner on all of the three channels, so you could try to do something like that. Make the videos with your own flavor put into them.

What does it take to become a youtube partner? How many views do I need to rake in to become a partner?

You don't have to be a partner to earn money from YouTube. When you get around 300-400 subs, and like 10k views, they offer you to monetize your videos. When you accept, and you'll be getting a "monetize" option every time you upload a video. You won't earn as much as a full partner would, but it's still something, and remember, they review the content before they put ads on the video, your video could get rejected. Make sure its not some crappy slideshow video. I for one, make tutorials, so it's considered quality material, in the last 2 days I made, and uploaded 5 videos. So I'm off with a good start, cause all of my videos got ads on them within 10 minutes after I completed uploading them.

If you don't mind me asking, what's usually your income on this?

I can't tell you, because today is only my second day. If you want PM me in a week, and I'll answer that for you, or add me on skype if you have one.
