The actual site is .me I just went there

Demonoid.ph and Demonoid.me are both legit

Update: May 07, 2012It may seem that demonoid is avoiding some issues by changing to a .ph top level domain (TLD). A website about bittorrents said that in early 2011, Demonoid changed its domain from a .com to a .me to avoid US government seizure. Then in July of 2011 it became the most popular website with a .me extension.


Maybe they are avoiding some issues by changing its domain extension again, this time from a .me to a .ph (.PH is the TLD for Philippines). But that is just speculation on my part. Curious, I did a little digging and here is what I found...


The official word about this (from an administrator from the Demonoid forums): They are running a test to see how well the redirects to one of their alternate URLs worked.


There could be other reasons other than that but until it officially comes from the admins of the website, everything else is just a thought.

Before accusing anyone of what you don't know, first, check the truth, if you don't know the whole thing, just say nothing.

To just see that I'm talking the truth just go to demonoid.ph and click on the banner that says: "demonoid beta try it now". This is will take you to the beta version but still with its database, then make a search and you'll find all the search from demonoid, then get back to the demonoid.ph and make the same search and you'll see the same result.

But even after all of these you don't believe me, then make an account and you'll have access to both domains.

Generally, this dot-me just redirect to the dot-ph but today it is not, maybe because the registration is open.

I don't have reason to lie but if you don't trust me, that's your problem. Also you can question other members from demonoid that will tell you whether i'm lying or not.

What's the deal with torrent filesharing now? They've shut down all the good torrent sites. A while back I read about how eventually the torrents were going to be decentralized so that they wouldn't be stored anywhere, which was supposed to prevent seizures, shut-downs, etc...

What's the future of torrents?

You see what TPB did? They changed its suffix to .SE and is using magnetic link now? If you are in the Internet for a while you know that it used to be .ORG.

You heard that Microsoft is testing with a Co. to stop some torrent of being downloaded, by being part of one of the seeders? They said that this method worked very well, that's why all big torrent sites are using different strategies to stay alive.

People that don't follow the news closely, don't understand what is going on, but things are changing, even after SOPA and its similarities are dead.

I agree guys. Both Demonoid.me and demonoid.ph are both one and the same.

Much ado about nothing. Demonoid.ph is the same as Demonoid.me.
