Hello BHW!! Just registered here and writing a quick introduction. Been a long time lurker here and finally decided to make a profile here now that I have a little more time on my hands. I'm not a full time internet marketer but I'm considering making the step and quitting my day job. Thanks to BHW and a handfull of other resources I learned pretty much everything there is to know about WP and 2 years ago I turned that knowledge into a business, offering webdesign to local businesses.
I'm at a point where I'm making as much, often more, money as a webdesigner than my daytime job as an construction engineer. The only difference is that it takes me no more than 5 hours to 'build' a complete wp website for a client which I can easily charge ?1.000 for (around $1.2k). Tbh I'm not actually building sites from 0 but I customize existing themes to my clients needs. Call it what you want but I have a 100% satisfied clients base. Just saying, because I've been called a cheater by 'real webdesigners' a lot of times.
Anyway.. next to learning how to set up wp sites I also learned quite a lot about SEO. I fully optimize all sites I build but never had any linkbuilding clients. Had a lot of clients asking about it but I just refer them to a local SEO company and take my commission. Easy money.
I've set a couple of goals when I registered here and perhaps you'd like to know them, so here we go:
1 - Build at least 1 authority or niche site before the end of this year
2 - Rank it with services offered here on BHW
3 - Make atleast $100 per month from that site through Adsense or Amazon
4 - If things turn out like I planned scale up the business and become Legend
I like to outsource stuff. I'm not afraid to spend money, have the budget and the common sense to see whether something will be profitable or not. I'll be testing out several services here on BHW and probably pour these into journey threads, haven't made up my mind about that.
