Its a learning process, I had put links in regarding some of the things I was talking about. Not knowing that I am too new to do such things.

Anyways, one of the things I had mentioned was that I am currently really new to this whole community and even passive income or attempting to try making side income online. I am a QA engineer and I have a degree in computer science.

Anyways I am currently running some experiments of publishing some games on the playstore and seeing if there is anything there. In the past I have had some success in this area but that was a long time ago and things have since changed quite a bit. So if there is a subcategory for such a thing or people experienced therein please let me know.

Also, while it would be great to generate passive income doing things I am generally knowledgeable about I am curious to try different things and I have been trolling this forum and IM/AM seem to be very popular choices especially for new people. I still need more knowledge on those aspect but is there something even small that I can start off with?

In one of the posts someone suggested using url shortners and then putting them on the internet and making money if you can get views on them. I tried somethings like that but I didnt really understand because the shortened link would not directly lead to the main link instead would take you through a weird process where the user would get directed to that websites domain name and you would get smashed by ads and a timer before you could view the content of the actual link? I wasnt really sure how that can be a reliable way of ever getting people to click on and view a link. Am I missing something?

If anyone has any comments on my link shortners question that would be great.

Otherwise, I am curious to hear suggestions about things to do to get started on these things the right way? I.e are there any low profit or break even measures that I can take as I learn to understand some thing new i.e a new passive income stream? IM/AM is that still the easiest or first thing I should attempt to do?

Also,theres so much information on youtube sometimes and when I see those, I ask myself that if it was real advice why would anyone share it? Is that the right way about looking at it?
