Hey all, I'm Andrew

I've lurked on Black Hat World in the past but I never pursued anything due to working for a local alarm company that I had ownership in. Well, a year later, said alarm company has grossed 370k, but is still 40k in debt. I've lost faith in the majority owner for mismanagement (and being severely underpaid) and I'm looking to strike out on my own. I hope to learn a lot while I'm here that will help me do just that!

(I'm curious, is this the appropriate forum to discuss my situation and goals in hopes for advice or is that a different board?)

ETA: My goal is to make 3k in less than 2 weeks and maintain a monthly income of at least 4k a month. I want to create a youtube channel where I discuss old and new video games, graphic and web design, and other interests of mine. This is more of a passion project than it is anything else. I'd like to create passive income avenues that don't require too much attention but allow me the freedom to focus on my passion projects. The 3k is to create a new gaming/video editing PC as mine bit the dust a month ago.

I have Intermediate to Professional graphic design skills (I'd post a link to my design site but I'm pretty sure that's against the rules) and Intermediate web design (mostly wordpress) skills.

I'm very interested in putting those skills to use to meet my goals and being pointed in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome Andrew - this is probably best part of the forum for discussion of goals. When you decide on which method suits you best you can maybe start a "Journey Thread" (search for link for IM Journeys in the link bar to the left of screen here).

Don't want to shatter your dreams but the chances of you making 3k in less than two weeks and maintain a 4k a month, are somewhere between very slim and fuck all chance. Aim at starting something up, not money goals.

Oh it's totally a long shot, but it's mostly a hurtle I have to cross to get to the next step. To do the youtube channel that I want to do, I'm gonna need a new gaming/design computer (I'm stuck with a craptop atm) and it's a hurtle I want to cross as quickly as possible. The 4k a month is actually a long term goal, not something I plan on maintaining immediately after the 3k. I believe I worded that wrong initially.
