After buying tons of services from countless sellers on BHW, I've experienced a few things.

Sharing an important aspect for the sellers to understand the psychology of a buyer.

THE TONE / FRIENDLINESS / POLITENESS

Yes, that's what matters the most for me, and I guess for other buyers as well.

I stop buying from a seller if he/she is rude. I won't spend $5 on a good service with a rude seller. But I will happily spend $20 on a so-so service if the seller is good and friendly.

You can buy sig space, promotional content for your BST, and even workforce but what you can't buy is a good personality.

There are multiple sellers for a single service. But I buy from the one who is polite and showing some respect.

We buyers don't expect formalities of saying "good morning sir" or other BS. We only expect you to talk politely.

BHW is a place where people have several doubts before making a purchase. It's simply because people have trust issues.

"What will I do if I get scammed?"

Sure, you can shitlist the seller, but nobody wants the situation to reach that stage. The only thing that establishes trust on BHW is "politeness"

It's a very simple change in a seller's personality that can actually help them develop their business, and yet most of them keep missing it :)

Interesting for me I prefer rude or aggressive people since they will normally delivery best results or much easier to deal with instead of doing a lot of polite forms of emailing or other communication forms before action starts.

Yeah, unfortunately, I have to say you are right, at least for the "not-so-friendly" sellers part.

Not sure why is this the case, is it up to someone’s bigger ego, is the problem that some sellers think how they are 10 levels above others, I’ve had a couple of times similar cases where you just feel like someone is there just for the money and the benefit.

This is ok, so no one misunderstands me, it's the business at the end of the day, but...

When you show a little respect and when the customer feels it, believe me, half the work is done, at least for me personally.

I haven't had any problems with BHW sellers, as far as that part is concerned everything is perfect 10/10 [delivery/quality].

Also, people who try to sell you some other packages once you buy something from them and after a couple of weeks or even months you get a message with a list of "new things that have been added in and are for sale", without asking.

It’s a no-no in my book and if you do business like that you should know you’re just forcing potential customers away from you, even though you think in your head you’re doing something good, it’s the other way around.

I didn't even remember this section :D
When I get time, I'll write a newbie guide for this section. I have a lot to say here.

One of my friends is Dutch so the normal straight talker type of guy he has $90,000 a month SEO client the reason most people hire him he is a straight talker if he was like"hi hope you well today? " he would probably get a lot less sales.

What’s worse is when the roles are reversed and you get a customer who is rude and demanding.

Right attitude is business is as important as the product/service being sold.

I just get rid of people like that and won't work with them again.

Back in December we had new order came in, allocated it to one of our team.
3 weeks later the buyer was demanding a completion date ( despite us being nowhere near the 28 working day delivery, plus there would be Xmas and NY holiday too ) but the team member we assigned to was rushed into hospital with Covid.

I informed the guy about the hospitalisation, explained from what I could see most of the outreach had been done and the links were ready to be made live.

He replied; Not my concern, get someone else to do it ASAP.

My reply; Here's your refund, go fuck off.

It’s true that some sellers could be a bit more reasonable but does it really make sense for you to not buy from a guy with quality services just because he’s rude? For me at least, all that matters at the end of the day is results.

You also have to consider that for every good buyer, a seller would have to come across numerous time wasters and equally rude people. You could argue that that’s part of the business but sometimes it gets to be too much to handle, especially if it’s a single guy running the sales thread and not a team.

Being a straight talker is fine. As I mentioned in my original post, saying formal stuff is not required. Just be professional and respectful. Not a difficult job.

Well, that's true :)

I can't know for sure that the rude person is offering better services in this hypothetical scenario. The only way to know is to give them a try but they lose their shot by not talking like humans.

I had a requirement for Reddit related service that costs around $500. I asked a detailed question that would require a detailed explanation. I'm spending $500 so I have to clear my doubts first.

Dude is replying with "yes", "no", "yeah". I was like.... go to hell man!

That's understandable, but as a buyer too I've gone through some sellers who turned out to be scammers, time-wasters, and rude talkers. But I talk with a virtual smile on my face with everyone on the internet. Not sure why some people find it really hard to be polite.

Well, I haven't encountered rude or polite yet, or just so so
But one said can't SEO my video bcoz of religions and women present...
And my video was about animals, not sure what does that has to do with religions
Kinda weird a selling and buying have to define sex and religions :/

Just having a good grasp of English and basic professional acumen will get you far
