here's some wall posting tips

Hey All

For my 100th post, I thought I'd share some tips that will make your wall posting more effective. It's aimed mainly for those who use automation like FW. Here goes:

- I use 50 private proxies and run 50 threads
- use lot's of accounts (around 1000) just for posting. This way, each account only posts one or two times per run.
- these accounts have no friends, and it's better that way. These accounts are lasting a long time. They are used only for posting.
- I scrape big pages only 100k+ fans, though smaller pages will work too.
- I gathered a list that was originally around 2200 fan pages, then I:
- I removed the dupes and manually removed all non-english pages and ended up with a list of around 1500. Posting to non-english pages wastes time and money (see below re: decaptcher costs)
- this list will get even smaller when Spud--1 adds the feature to remove walls that don't allow posting
- one of the downers about wall posting is the decaptcher expenses, so I do a few things to help minimize the costs
- I post only during the time of day that I see sufficient action in my stats. The times will vary for you depending on which time zone you live in. For myself, I usually schedule FW to start posting at around 7:00 am my time till around 11:00 pm. Outside of these times, I get alot of foreign traffic that are ineligible for my offers.
- another important time and money saving tip is to change your shortened URL before each run...or at least check them manually by posting to a wall to see if it has been banned. FB is banning 'abusive' URL's so that results in wasted decaptchers and a wall that gets a 'failed to post'. If you're running the same URL all of the time and don't notice that it has been banned, you'll waste time and money and have fewer, if any, successful posts and consequently clicks to you offer.

Umm that's all I can think of for now. If I remeber anything else. I'll add it to this thread.

Nice write up my friend. With your experience why is an account with no friends any different than an account with friends? Please excuse me if this is a dumb question as I'm still a lowly newb.

Roughly speaking you are running 20 accounts per IP... How often do you lose an account?

Lastly, I was under the impression that you could only ever scrape the last 5000 members of a fanpage due to the limits imposed by facebook (not facewizard)? Can you confirm or deny this rumor of mine?

If you are removing duplicates manually and you aren't using microsoft excel, look into it! If anyone needs help doing this let me know.

Also, for anyone looking to follow the OP's tatic on a smaller scale, I'd recommend looking into getting some pva's as they will eliminate the need for decaptcher. Do realize if you plan on using 1000 accounts like the OP, $1.50-$2 per pva may be killer... :/

There is no point in putting accounts that have friends at risk. I basically use 2 types of accts. One type is for building up friends to use later. The other type is strictly for wall posting.

I lose maybe 3-4 after running them all day. Not a significant loss. If anything, FB seems to ban the link posted first. Then you have to change the link URL.

Well this is irrelevant to wall posting, but FB limits scraping to the first 9999 fans on a page.

I use a server side script for advanced text manipulation including removing dupes, randomizing, adding pre/suffixes etc. The manual removals were for getting rid of non-english pages.

I may be wrong, but I don't think pva's will totally eliminate captchas when posting on walls.

What's best with fw for wall posting: 5-10 accts posting on 100 pages or 100 accts posting on just a few pages. Also, with fw, how do u know if the page u r posting on won't accept wall posts? Good share also.

I've heard Spud was going to add the feature to FW that would remove pages that didn't allow wall posting. Just a rumor though, I dont actually know.

I personally like to hit alot of walls with alot of accounts. In your example, i would actually prefer to use 100 accts to post on 100 walls so they get hit once each. Then before the next run, take the page at the top of your list and move it to the bottom so that all of the pages get hit by a different account. Change the offer/url too.

Spud--1 said that there will be a feature in the next update to address walls that disallow posting.

The best software for this is definitely Face Wizard because of the account creator.

from my research, decaptcher isn't working with FW. Anyone know the definitive answer on this?

Works fine for me. Try using ccleaner before any job to clear all of the temp files (old captchas).
Sometimes decatcher is just really busy though. You could try 'priority', but I don't personally.

is there money into wall posting?

Here I say now and I'll probably screw my gold pot, but for PVA accounts you can get them for as low as 0.3$ on Microworkers.com.

You have to be careful of stealers, so I usually ask for a new gmail account + PVA account at the same time - you never approve a job well done before you change password for FB and gmail account (gmail account also must not have the backup e-mail in case of forgotten password).

That can cut down on your costs a lot, but it's available only as much as there are different people on Microworkers.com who use their own cell phones for this.

I'm using this method and it works. Also make sure to check a similar site called myeasytask.com, works same way as microworkers

PVAs do not eliminate captcha. If you are posting a link in your wall post, you are going to get captcha whether the account is PVA or not.

Okay, after reading your tips, I just manually posted a wall post with all of my short URLs, and none of them are blocked by FB. They are a mixture of Bit.ly's and TinyURL's. I have 22 in total. Mind you, I have been using these same links to post across various walls for at least three months now, but possibly longer than that.

I wonder why they are not being blocked? Also, I use priority payment with Decaptcher, and I recommend it!

Your URL will only get blocked if it gets reported enough times. It's only happened to 2 of my URL's, but it does happen. It's good to manually test them, like you did, before a run just to make sure that you don't waste a bunch of (FW) time and decaptchers.

FW's new reporting of successful posts is saving me alot in wasted decaptchers too. Good stuff!

Nice post, I've also had it happen to me twice that my urls got blocked, really annoying; But maybe I was spamming a bit too much with those links ;p

Yea, but if you are posting stuff just to get friend requests (and I'm not talking just about Mafia Wars pages here) it eliminates the need for any software.

Not necessarily. You can do it manually but an automated program such as FaceWizard or FFAP will speed this process up tremendously.
