Here's how to index your stuff using Reddit

I've developed a bit of a fixation with indexing lately, largely due to trying to index my stuff in volume.

While having a constant posting schedule does help, and eventually, Google will increase the crawl budget, I've stumbled upon another way that seems faster.

The first step is to create your own subreddit. Profile works too, but for some reason, I think a sub will perform better.

Now head over to /r/technology or /r/gadgets or any big sub. By big I mean huge, go for the big ones.

Next, repost whatever's on the HOT page. I usually do 5-6/hour.

The thing is, when you repost something, there's going to be a backlink to your post from the huge one. It shows in the bottom right where it says "View this discussion in X more places".

After 4-5 hours, assuming you now have at least 25-30 reposts, half or more of it will be indexed in Google.

After this point, start posting your links to your sub. I'm not sure what numbers are alright, but I do 25-30/day and it seems alright.

In about 3-4 hours, my posts move from "Google doesn't know about this URL" to "Crawled - Currently not indexed" or just Indexed, depending.

Point is, you will get crawlers to your website/backlinks/whatever.

Side effect? I'm getting around 5-7 subscribers a day from random people :))

I've tried commenting on top posts, but this way is way way faster.

You can automate it with Python and have your own semi/pseudo Indexing API.

So yeah, sorry I didn't include pictures, but anyone should have no problem doing this, as I think I've included all the details.

Note: When I say repost, I mean posting the URL of the news website, not the Reddit post. Usually, the top ones are theverge, gizmodo, newegg, etc.

Done, now let's hope Karma comes back to me tenfold ))

Enjoy!

I hope I really understand this well enough to execute it.

this is bullsh** been active for several weeks sharing liking commenting, building karma, doesnt work, we´re too late

I'm confused with:
"The thing is, when you repost something, there's going to be a backlink to your post from the huge one. It shows in the bottom right where it says "View this discussion in X more places"."
Yes, it's true... if I cross-post it to my sub then yeah, I'll have this link.
But if I just copy/paste... I don't get this link.

Same here I also copied the link and posted it on my subreddit but I there was no "View this discussion on x more places" on the original post. Seems like we are missing something.

I just did this right now
https://i.gyazo.com/6e4047f6d9763a23a7d57d35d40767e9.png
These are simple steps.
Right click on the original link, copy link address, go to your sub, create post, paste link, done.

Instantly appeared on the main sub as you can see in the picture.

Soon as I published this, look at the online count on my own sub

It spiked from 1 to 53. Most of those are bots, but you can see the mechanics.

IT WORKED.
You need to copy/paste links.
Thanks a lot.

Conclusion?

Always use pictures to explain something ))
And unlike cross-posts... this way I can schedule the posts and have bots and some people on my reddit during the day spending just 5 mins a day.
And it's a good way to grow a subreddit... actually testing it now.

I actually gained like 77 followers. I stopped posting because the website I wanted to index gained a lot of traction on it's own in terms of crawlers.
But whenever I was posting, was gaining 4-5-6 subscribers a day.

But the best part is that, even other day, I get a couple of upvotes in my sub from random strangers.

wait what? i shouldnt crosspost? only copy link and paste?

the thing is, when i crosspost it appears on the mainsub... when i copy/paste it doesnt. How does the later boost sub better? confusing;(

i crossposted and i dont have any problem that it shows up under "other discussions" on the main sub... its just that nothing happens. The posts gets indexed, the ones that i crosspost to my subreddit. But the links i put in doesnt index, the ones i want to index...

now u guys telling me copy/paste, but it doesnt appear under "other discussions"...

am i being impatient? also, should i skip the crosspost feat and switch to only copy links and paste?

copy any popular link and post it on your subreddit.
I can PM you an example so you could see for yourself.

really appreciate you taking your time to show me, thanks man! waiting your pm, i´ve been putting alot of time in trying to get this to work haha so sorry if am sounding annoying...

If you have checked Google cache of reddit pages, you wouldn't try this method at all. On mobile version, the reddit isn't showing the view discussion in x other communities. Google is indexing mobile version. So Google can't find your newly created community page.

Also, reddit has to approve your community page, otherwise your community page doesn't show anything on mobile.

What the F are you talking about, it's working fine for me. My links are indexing in less than a day.

true. Googlebot crawled the "view other discussions" links where my subreddit's link auto-appeared and within 12 hours 90% of the subreddit's posts got indexed on google. The external links/posts I made are also getting indexed, but at a slower pace. Say, I've posted 10 posts, 4 has been indexed in 24 hours. 8 are waiting to be.

Next, repost whatever's on the HOT page. I usually do 5-6/hour.

I'm a little confused here. Do you mean re-posting the entire post excluding the comments? I am doing this manually.
