Some of you guys might be aware of the Google's `Notebook` feature.

If not, go to google.com/notebook and check it out.

Go sign up for a notebook and write a note with your website URL in it. Then go to `Sharing Options` and make sure to check `Yes` under where it asks you if it should be published publicly or not. That's it. The link is gonna be a ********. It's gonna be a backlink from PR0, but a link from Google is a link from Google eh? Enjoy.

A backlink is a backlink...

Great tip...fck G00GL3

not a bad idea but not sure how much ranking it will carry. I assume this will make your site get indexed very! quickly. If someone has a new domain this might be worth testing.

Time to create a fake gmail account, drop a link and spam the shit out of the notebook page to see if it's gets any weight to it.

Good thinking Bobfrapples, I wonder how many times I can spam the notebook page. Maybe we can have something coded up for it.

A lot of people have already been spamming it. There was a post about it a little while ago..

Whether or not Google has disabled value-passing is another story, which I personally think they will have.

Nice tip, thanks! As someone pointed out, you can make Google Docs public as well; not sure if they are indexed or considered by GoogleBot.

Thanks for the cool idea. Just launched a new site (whitehat) and have will use your tip!

Great tip! I'm going to try this one out. It goes to show how vulnerable Google can be these days.

Yup, "Matt Cutts", but shouldn't you be working to solve the problem, given your position at Google and all???

If you do that with BH sites the changes are big when you spam the notebook, Google is going to look for you with special attention.

It can be just me being paranoid and all, but i never spam any link in anything related to Google, i don't use google tools, i don't use google webmaster shit and i certainly don't submit my site-maps to Google, if you ask me you're raising the red flag on yourself with tricks like these.

Just saying.

Tried this on a new site, it was a blog with one post and no other backlinks. Site was 3 days old and not indexed. I wrote a note on google notebook and with in 4 hours my site was indexed and was ranking (not very highly) for the main keyword
