hey guys , this question might sound dumb , but I gotta ask. I've got this blog for around 4-5 months and I havent been doing anything with it . I builded it for CB affiliating . Now I'd like to boost it up n sht . But im not sure if its not penalized or banned by google serp . I checked for site:domain , it shows all of my pages on site . I've checked 100 results for my main kw and im not there , webmaster tools tells that my avg. pos. should be around 96 but i'm not , alfter checking 300 results and not finding it I got this crazy idea that I might be removed from google . Ohh and I tried checking it with US based IP ... still nothn . any ideas, suggestions ?

You're probably ranking on google images, that' s what the avg pos 96 probably means.

Other than that, webmaster tools stats are all messed up and delayed, use it for reference only.

if its showing for site:domain.com then you are not sandboxed for sure and use some KW rank tracker rather than webmaster tools to track your position

very good advices , I've made a mistake by adding my site to webmaster tools . I'm planing to do a little agressive seo campaing , so its like reporting myself ... is there a way to remove my site from it ?

+1 on this
Several times I have seen that if I don't update some of my sites with new content they drop their rankings (even can't find them at all) and only after you start updating again with new and fresh content they gain again the same spot or even higher

rly ? what if my site has one article , and im not planing to writte more since it's just the description+ blah blah blah about this cb product . Does that mean that my page might not rank up just cause im not updating my site with fresh content ? Or does this kind of site rely on backlinks more?

Don't know really, because this strange thing didn't happen always and with every site, but some of them had this problem. Maybe because I left them right there even without making any SEO, backlinks, social links or whatever

Some of them may be ranked in images. when i see webmasters it show dome of kw are in 1st position but none of them is below 300 when i searched in rank tracker. my advice is to update you current post with some more unique content and post it in current date. by this way crawler will re-index your page and there is possibility to rank in next crawling process.

Since you can find your site searching with site:domain that means you are not deindexed or banned from Google. It just
means your site is not ranking well and you need to work on it since it has been sitting for 6 months.

I understand that you want to rank your root domain for a specific keyword? Well, if that's the case, I'd still recommend adding more content than what's on the first page of your website. For one, add the essentials like about page, privacy policy, disclaimer, contact and a contact page. On top of that, it would most likely benefit your site if you'd add a blog to it. Don't worry, you don't have to write a new article everyday, but I would recommend to publish at least 20 something unique articles on it for the starters. Also, make sure your first page is top notch, and by "top notch" I mean unique, informational, well-written.. you get the idea.

Try using something other than webmaster tools, ive never found their data to be accurate. And as others have said, you probably got an image ranking in google's image search to account for the wmt ranking data.

As for content, in today's seo environment unfortunately content is king more than ever. If you are trying to rank for even a moderately difficult keyword you are going to have a tough time if you have only one article on your site. Your best bet would be to build a niche site surrounding your CB product...then hav multiple pages targeting different keywords. But focus on providing good info if you want to rank easier
